Leadership Grounded in Service
For 20 years, Caregivers Outreach has been guided by a commitment to caregivers, families, and the communities we serve.
Our leadership and Board of Directors bring together lived caregiving experience, healthcare expertise, social services, nonprofit leadership, business experience, community engagement, and a shared commitment to strengthening support for family caregivers.
Together, they provide the vision, leadership, and governance that move our mission forward.

That's Okay. Start Here.
Diane Cooper, GNP
Diane Cooper is a geriatric nurse practitioner, caregiver advocate, and the founder of Caregivers Outreach.
Her vision for the organization grew from the intersection of her professional work with older adults and her personal experience with family caregiving. She saw firsthand how much caregivers give to the people they love—and how often their own needs for information, recognition, and support go unnoticed.
In 2006, Diane transformed that experience into action by founding Caregivers Outreach.
Under her leadership, the organization has spent two decades advancing caregiver education, recognition, community resources, advocacy, and support for families.
Today, Diane continues to provide strategic leadership and serve as a voice for caregivers while ensuring the organization remains grounded in the experiences of the families it was created to serve.
“When caregivers are supported, families are stronger.”
